News Travels Slowly If You Want It To

I've never been a part of a very close family. We're very independent. Maybe it's how we were all brought up, there has been some hardship in just about every branch of this family tree. But my family tree is quite confusing, so I've tried to make it easier for you... This is my Mum's side....

So basically my Granny had three kids, Dora, Cath and Anne. Dora stayed at home probably due to the fact she had an accident when she was little and ended up deaf and dumb unfortunately and she later had Auntie Jackie. My Nana had some problems in life, she didn't end up with my Mum's real dad but instead with Chick, their step dad. Chick and Anne had some tough times but to be honest I think they weren't exactly innocent. Anyway, long story short all of that impacted on my mum a lot, it was the reason she moved in with my Granny, Dora and Jackie when she was a kid. That is why I call her Auntie Jackie because my mum and her grew up in the same house like sisters.

The whole purpose of this post, other than to help you better understand my family dynamic was to point out that for one reason or another we're not a cosey cosey family. We all have our demons and reasons but Jackie's branch has always been the exception. My mum and Jackie were like sister's and when my mum and her best pal Beth (I'll get to that yin later :)) talk about the old days there's always a Jackie and Beth story. So in other words the two people who impacted on my Mum's life are my Auntie Jackie and My Auntie Beth.

This post has gone a bit askew but I will fix it later when I have time. My point was that Josslyn has always been very concerned about my heart condition, apparently once my Mum & Nicole were in Jackie's and they were talking about my condition and Josslyn got upset, cried and left the table. Everyone was stunned because Josslyn doesn't just cry. To be honest I've never understood it but I'm used to it all it doesn't much faze me. So, I got Josslyn to call me last night and I told her everything the hospital said because I didn't want her to freak out if she heard it from someone else. I thought if I explained it she'd be reassured that it's not really a big deal. Well, I know it is but if she knew I was calm and fine and wasn't in pain she'd take it better. I think she did.

Anyway, that was the whole point of this post. To show that even thought there's not a very close bond, things still matter to people, even if they seem silly to me...
